2. COLDFALL

I see
whirling autumn leaves a turning clock
I see
turning autumn leaves
a whirling clock
Night has fallen the cold is come
a batting of the eyes—
not more
a pointing finger in
a window vibrating with frost
: Night is come
the cold has fallen
Nibbling nights with fresh-bread breath
fumbling figures standing in snow
darkness has come
darkness has fallen
the cold

Amazon e-book page Thank you for reading. If you love it, tell your friends. Please post a favorable review at Amazon, Good Reads, and other online resources. If you want to thank the author, you may also buy a copy for the low price of a cup of coffee. It's called Read-a-Latte: similar (or lower) price as a latte at your favorite coffeeshop, but the book lasts forever while the beverage is quickly gone. Thank you (JTC). PS: I wrote most of these poems (except the title poem, October Leaf) as a teenager, so I published them under the pseudonym A. T. Nager.
