66. BEAUTIFUL WORDS, MY LOVE

The words are beautiful, my love,
spoken from our fingertips.
you are so good to be with.

Marble of Greece, red of Carthage,
Shubiluliuma, Hatshepsut,
Antony, Cleopatra,
Romeo, Juliet,
Yellow, Cathay, Indigo, Brasilia
Hymen, Hymen, Hymenaiee

Blue sea
you drown our secret words

Sun, shine, sun shine,
take our hearts to the cliffs

Two lances broken in his side
A thousand deaths in her belly.

Amazon e-book page Thank you for reading. If you love it, tell your friends. Please post a favorable review at Amazon, Good Reads, and other online resources. If you want to thank the author, you may also buy a copy for the low price of a cup of coffee. It's called Read-a-Latte: similar (or lower) price as a latte at your favorite coffeeshop, but the book lasts forever while the beverage is quickly gone. Thank you (JTC). PS: I wrote most of these poems (except the title poem, October Leaf) as a teenager, so I published them under the pseudonym A. T. Nager.
