CON2 The Generals of October political thriller coup d'etat during Second Constitutional Convention by John T. Cullen

ALLISON: We have another breaking story from the Atlantic Hotel and Convention Center. ANN has just learned that Washington Metro Police are confirming that the Assistant Chairman of CON2, Vern Consiglio, has been found dead in an elevator at the hotel. His throat was slashed, and his wallet stolen, leading police to theorize robbery may have been a motive, though there is some thought that the robbery might have been a cover-up for some other motive. Detectives say it would be idle to speculate at this time what such a motive might be. They are treating it as a suspicious robbery, and leaving all options on the table. Chairman Mattoon has issued this terse statement upon receiving the shocking news.

MATTOON: My fellow citizens, this tragic event only reaffirms my determination that those who want to undermine the convention, and to prevent this nation from revising its antiquated laws, will not prevail. I’ll press forward with CON2 at any cost, bringing about a speedy and happy conclusion.

If you want to thank the author, you may also buy a copy for the low price of a cup of coffee. It's called Read-a-Latte: similar (or lower) price as a latte at your favorite coffeeshop, but the book lasts forever while the beverage is quickly gone. Thank you (JTC).
