Larger Structure(s) Beyond Our Cosmos
If our universe is being pulled apart in all directions, that implies a larger mass all around the universe, and inherently some sort of structure in the sense that humans think of solar systems and galaxies as 'structures.'
This is not, in itself, as novel an idea as one may initially suppose. It does not contradict existing science—which, in fact, supports it, based on a major precedent.
This hypothesis suggests a further iteration of the Hubble paradigm shift, when it was confirmed that our galaxy is not the whole universe. Just as there are a vast number of galaxies outside our own, comprising a newly defined and much more vast universe—so I am suggesting that there is a much larger structure beyond our universe, in which our universe is just one of many, perhaps infinitely many. I am not the first to suggest it, though I seem to be the first to suggest that the accelerating expansion is due to gravity, which irrevocably requires larger structures beyond what we call the universe.
That larger structure needs a name. For purposes of this paper, I'll call it the motherverse.
From the supposition that the accelerating expansion is due to the aggregate gravitation of a larger motherverse, a number of secondary suppositions readily follow. There may eventually be diverging lemmas as to their nature, depending on work by future researchers. Here, I offer one such sequence of necessaries.
By comparison, as a parallel of sorts, there is a subsidiary field of Number Theory in Mathematics, whose entire results are based on a major dependency—namely, that all else follows if and only if the Riemann Hypothesis is proven (it has not yet been proven). If the Riemann Hypothesis is true, then x, y, and z… may be conjectured.
In that spirit, I offer the following sequiturs as a hypothetical and a thought experiment. If we accept provisionally the gravitational metaverse or motherverse conjecture, then a number of results will plausibly and perhaps necessarily follow as I illustrate in the following sections.
